How to play

• Enter your first guess (for 5-letter word) - for example "catch" - and click Submit.
• See what letters matched(highlighted in green) and which didn't(highlighted in red/blue). A green letter(A) is correct in its position in the word, A blue letter(D) is alphabetically lower than the actual letter and a red letter(F) is alphabetically higher than the actual letter in its corresponding position.
• Refine your guess based on match clues (use deductions/eliminations). Replace a blue letter with a alphabetically higher letter, and red letter with a alphabetically lower letter. It still needs to be a valid word.
• Repeat (until correct 5-letter word is identified).
• Here is a sample play with match in 4 guesses. Based on first two guesses, the actual word should be alphabetically between BATCH and MATCH.

  

Clues

• For example if your guessed P A T C H and the actual answer was C A N D Y
• Letters highlighted in green ( A in above example) correctly matched.
• Blue letters (C H in above example) are lower in alphabetic order compared to the letter in hidden word on same position. Your next guess should include a letter which comes after this blue letter for its current position in the word. For example if your fourth letter is blue C, then your next guess should include fourth letter that comes after C - may be D or M.
• Red letters (P T in above example) are higher in alphabetic order compared to the letter in hidden word on same position. Your next guess should include a letter which comes before this red letter for its current position in the word. For example if your first letter is red P, then your next guess should include first letter that comes before P - may be L or C.
• 🥚 means you didn't heed a previous clue. It means this guess was a wrong choice, despite previous match clues for the letter in this position in the word.
• Guessmate (as in checkmate) means you lost this game (after exceeding max tries/max eggs/max time). You can continue guessing for practice.

Unsolved?

• Use all match clues for eliminations and deductions.
• Look up 5-letter words online if you are out of ideas.
• Ask your family/friends (share screenshot of your game).
• Let this be a mystery and start a new game. Each new game is a new challenge.
• Try easier difficuly level or play another category.
