How to play

  • Guess a NHL team (name).
  • See what (attributes) matched(=) and which didn't ().
  • Refine your guess based on match clues (use deductions/eliminations).
  • Repeat (until correct NHL team is identified).

Match Attributes

  • NHL team name - green letter means corresponding letter matched, red means it didn't match. Only first two letters match status are shown.
  • Conference - Conference - Eastern and Western
  • Division - Division - 2 divisions in each conference
  • State - State - States in US and Canada

Clues

  • = means this attribute matched. It means your guess and the hidden name both have this same attribute (for example, both have same country). (use these for deductions).
  • means this attribute didn't match. It means your guess and the hidden name don't have this same attribute (for example, both have different country). (use these for deductions).
  • 🥚 means this guess was a wrong choice, despite previous match clues for this attribute. It means this attribute didn't match, but it had matched in previous guesses (or your repeated a previous wrong attribute).
  • Guessmate (as in checkmate) means you lost this game (after exceeding max tries/eggs/time). You can continue guessing for practice.
  • Guessedname - 1st & 2nd letters of the guessed name are marked green if it matches the corresponding letter in hidden name, and marked red if it doesn't match. (Very helpful clue for eliminations.)
    Please note you'll only see the match status of first 2 letters, and not of the rest of letters (until you fully match).
